CommandBean ("we," "our," or "us") operates this platform. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using commandbean.app or any CommandBean product, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information We Collect

Account information. When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google. We store this in our database (Supabase) to identify your account.

Data you create. Tasks, notes, calendar events, and business information you enter in the app are stored in our database and associated with your account.

Google Workspace data. With your explicit permission, we access the following Google services:

Google Calendar — to read and create calendar events that appear in your command center.
Google Tasks — to read and manage your task lists alongside your CommandBean tasks.
Gmail — to display relevant emails and allow you to compose messages from within the app. We do not store your email content on our servers.
Google Drive (app data only) — to store a small configuration file in a private app folder that only CommandBean can access. We do not access your personal Drive files.

Usage data. We may collect basic usage information (pages visited, features used) to improve the product. We do not sell this data.

2. How We Use Your Information

To provide and operate the CommandBean platform
To sync your data across devices
To display your Google Calendar events, Tasks, and Gmail in your command center
To send transactional emails (account-related notifications)
To improve and develop new features

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your Google Workspace data to serve you advertising.

3. Google API Limited Use Disclosure

CommandBean's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Specifically:

We only use Google data to provide and improve the CommandBean service.
We do not transfer your Google data to others except as necessary to provide the service.
We do not use Google data for advertising purposes.
We do not allow humans to read your Google data unless you give explicit permission or it is required for security or legal compliance.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a hosted database platform with row-level security. Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. We take reasonable measures to protect your information, but no system is completely secure.

5. Data Retention

We retain your data as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us at privacy@commandbean.com. We will delete your data within 30 days of your request.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

Access the data we hold about you
Correct inaccurate data
Request deletion of your data
Revoke Google permissions at any time via your Google Account settings

7. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate CommandBean:

Supabase — database and authentication
Vercel — application hosting
Google APIs — Calendar, Tasks, Gmail, Drive integration
Resend — transactional email delivery

Each of these services has their own privacy policy governing their handling of data.

8. Children's Privacy

CommandBean is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the new policy on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
